How prevalent are the carbohydrates in the OC section?
I don't remember ever seeing one, on my first DAT.

Just curious, so that I can manage time accordingly for studies.

just the basics, maltose, sucrose etc. poly mono disaccharides, basic chemistry of sugar, L, D form, alpha beta anomers, acetal or hemiacetal linkage, mutarotation, reducing/nonreducing sugar etc

alpha anomer is the OH down on haworth, and beta is the up position, right?
I still have to review reducing/nonreducing and the linkages..
I wish my prof went over this before the semester ended.. damn

Correct, just think of alpha as a fish, (you know, if you have handwriting like mine, the alpha looks very much like a small fish =P.), it swims at the bottom.

Just know anomers, epimers, D vs L and glycosidic linkages. Should be enough.
