I'm just wondering how common this 'Dean's Scholarship for Outstanding Promise in Medicine' is. The reason I ask is that I'm curious as to whether or not this amount might be accounted for in financial aid packages anyway and Pritzker's just trying to dress it up. The letter says nothing about whether or not it precludes recipients from other aid, but I'm not sure. Anyways, Pritzker people, thoughts?

Yeah, I got it, too... seems to indicate that it's fairly common.

Do these scholarships come in varying amounts?

How much is the scholarship? Do only the kids that interview early get it?

Does anyone still know? Is it PART of financial aid or actually ON TOP of financial aid??

Mine was listed as a part of financial aid on the award letter.

How much is the pritzker scholarship/year, if you don't mind me asking?

Nevermind, I just saw on your mdapp.

It started at 80k for four years when I first got accepted, then it was $165k on the financial aid letter, and I then got an email with the new amount. So it's flexible.

I will be going to Pritzker in the fall and my scholarship was un-named, meaning on the award letter it just said "Pritzker Scholarship". Just because you have a name doesn't mean it's not common. A lot of people getting their aid packages don't have nearly that much coming to them, nor do I and I got a lot more than I thought (100K) so be happy and know it's legit! If you have any questions, e-mail David Owen in the fin. aid. office, he is the best person to talk to about it and he's super nice and gets back to you really quickly
