Dude -- how the heck do you answer a question like, "Relate an experience in which you felt you truly helped someone." Sure, I have those experiences, I guess everyone does. But does anyone else feel like a shmuck for talking about it? I feel like I should get a superwoman outfit or something.

And then "Most individuals live by a system of values and beliefs which serve as a guiding principle for daily living. What influences have been particularly important to you? Please describe both values and influences." Ugh. Maybe I just need to take a break from this!

End of rant.

I don't really know what to suggest in term of content for the question about helping people. However, my advice is don't let the description of the situation take charge; your reflection on the issue is very important as well.

As for the question on values & beliefs, it's actually a very good way for you to talk about yourself. I wouldn't repeat cliche things like "I feel that serving the poor is noble". You can even describe values that may not be directly related to being a physician. Adcom makes inference about your personalities/character based on these essays.
