Hey peeps...let's keep each other posted when we hear back from Pritzker.
Anyone know when the wait-list movement is for that school?? 🙄

Waitlist movement is mostly in late May and in June.

They are making their waitlist in about 2 weeks.

nylee.... I think I *MIGHT* know who you are... I really hope you end up coming to pritzker. You too crazy Pelican Man, USeF, et al, but I actually know nylee IRL, so it's a little different. 🙂

Does anyone know the stats on Pritzker wait list? It's still my number one...
even though I just got my upper portion hopkins wait list letter.

Yo, coop! I thought you were dropping the SDN cold turkey! I can see that you're still
hooked! It's good to talk to you through this instead of in person--although I would like
a little more "hangin' with Mr. Cooper" action... ahem, ditching our NRP get-togethers!
By the way, our sleep, dreams presentation went really well and we won the best poster award! YAY! it's all Maria, dude.

Oh and another thing...I'm new to this SDN stuff...what the heck is this SDN lingo? "bump?" and "IRL?" what the?

Waitlist established in two weeks? That kind of sucks. I've been anxiously checking my mail and messages from updates since my letter indicated that we might hear back in late April.

Are you guys officially on the waitlist? I'm confused because my letter that I received in November indicates that I'm on the waitlist and not an "alternate" list (I don't know the difference). I'm sure that we'll find out eventually.

"bump" is just a meaningless post to get a thread to the top of the list

IRL = in real life

other useful SDNisms:
OTOH = on the other hand
IMHO = in my humble opinion

Anybody know if the U of C waitlist has been moving? Of for that matter, how many people remained on the list after they reviewed it again in May? If they really review all the remaining applicants when positions become available, it would seem the process might take considerably longer than schools that rank order the list.

Just took my name off the Pritzker waitlist after getting off the waitlist at Dartmouth. One student on the committee told me to write a letter of interest to Sylvia Robertson in addition to Lombard. She said Sylvia Robertson has a lot of pull.

Brickmanli,

Thanks for the info and the advice.

Has anyone else heard from pritzker, or otherwise left the waitlist?

I'm still waiting patiently too. No word yet for me.

If we are fortunate enough to get pulled off of the wait-list, do you know how long we have to make our official acceptance decision (after the waitlist acceptance)? I'm just wondering because I heard that some schools only give you a between a period of 1-2 days to make give the "final answer."

I patented my avatar a long time ago !!! 😀

Does anybody know when they are going to move this list.

By the way thank you so much for removing yourself from the waitlist right after the acceptance from Darthmouth.

I wrote a letter of intent for Lombard and he said he forwarded it to the committee, so that means that Sylvia Roberson saw it also right?

Glad to see Pritzker near the top of the board.

maybe if we keep this near the top, we'll have a better chance of getting in.

(WARNING: tangent ahead)
dude, I found what i think was the coolest field I've heard of in a while- Neurotheology. Was killin sometime before SW:Episode 2 Tuesday when me and a physicist friend were bull****tin by the science books. One book was called Why Won't God go away? by a guy named A. Newberg. The basic tenant of the book is that God is hard-wired in our brain. That we are uniqeuly neurologically inclined to search for patterns, and therefore higher purposes and meanings to not only the minutia, but of existence and life itself. SOunds common sense, but it's awesome to know such an interdisciplinary field is receiving national respect. The author's website is http://www.andrewnewberg.com

They gave me about 1 week to make a decision. It probably varies at each school.

PelicanMan: I would also write a letter to Sylvia Robertson, it couldn't hurt.

Just spoke with someone in the admissions office. She said the committee has not yet started to call people from the waitlist, and they do not expect to make any offers until next month.
