(WARNING: tangent ahead)
dude, I found what i think was the coolest field I've heard of in a while- Neurotheology. Was killin sometime before SW:Episode 2 Tuesday when me and a physicist friend were bull****tin by the science books. One book was called Why Won't God go away? by a guy named A. Newberg. The basic tenant of the book is that God is hard-wired in our brain. That we are uniqeuly neurologically inclined to search for patterns, and therefore higher purposes and meanings to not only the minutia, but of existence and life itself. SOunds common sense, but it's awesome to know such an interdisciplinary field is receiving national respect. The author's website is http://www.andrewnewberg.com•••••Continuing on the tangent...if you like this, look into the field of evolutionary psychology, its similar and has some pretty intersting takes on why we do what we do (note: I do not really agree with a lot of it...)
