It has all of the medical schools out there that feature these programs, along with the undergrad (sometimes more than one undergrad) that is affiliated it. It also tells you whether or not you can apply to these programs right out of highschool, or as a sophomore during college. It's probably the best BS/MD list I have seen. Best of all, it's actually up-to-date. (It was updated in this year. That's a first) Thanks Dr. Rubin!

Hmm, yeah that list looks more complete and updated than other lists. This Dr. Rubin seems like a pretty cool guy.

I'd just like to check what exactly this BS/MD program means since I'm not from the US... I've heard people mentioning it, but don't exactly know what it is.

Is it a program present at certain universities which guarantees you'll be accepted to the MD program at that university when you receive the Bachelor of Science Degree at that same university (would surprise me if there is such thing) or is this something else (simply a list of good BS and MD programs) ?

The BS/MD program is offered by some universities and they pretty much guarantee you a spot in medical school. Depending on what you major in, the program is usually 6 or 7 years. The first 3 years are undergraduate studies in your major, the fourth year is sort of like a combo of medical school and undergraduate studies, you receive your BS degree in the fourth year and are a MS1.

These programs pretty much guarantee you a spot in medical school providing that you meet certain requirements such as maintaining a high GPA, you usually don't have to take the MCAT's in this program. Acceptance into the BS/MD program is very hard, you need very high SAT scores, a high GPA, a lot of extracurriculars, pretty much is meant for people who treated high school as though they were a pre-med and have known for a long time that they wanted to be doctors.

Thanks, I didn't know this existed...
