I know that cc vs university threads have been done to death ( I searched 😀) but I am still wondering something..
I am currently taking classes at a community college and taking all of the pre reqs in hopes that I can get into pharmacy school. The issue that I am wondering about is the degree itself. It is just an A.A degree in Pharmacy and I am worried if will be hard to get into a universitiy with something like that. The degree itself is just mostly all of the prereqs for the specific pharmacy school that I want to attend.
This is fine, but I also realize the very real possiblity of not getting into pharmacy school. Do you guys think that it would be better to major in another science related field and then get all of the pre reqs along with that specific major?
I am thinking about majoring in a speciic science related field and then taking the prereqs over the course of my academic career. I know that this will take more time but I don't want to get a 2 year degree in something that is useless either. As I've already siad, the two year degree that I am going for looks to be based soley on the prereqs of a specific pharmacy school and that looks like it may be putting too many eggs in one basket.
Thoughts?
