So when I was out of town, I had to have my mom send my fall transcripts to AVC for me. She overnighted them by Fedex on Thursday evening. I gave her the address of the registrar's office there, the same address I used to mail all of my other stuff (that was confirmed as received).

I emailed the admissions person yesterday to confirm that she'd gotten my transcript and she emailed me back today saying that she hadn't. What do I do? I have to mail them a spring registration confirmation - should I just include another transcript with that package? I'm stressing out because I'm not sure why it hasn't gotten there. Help!

Did the FedEx overnight not come with a tracking number?

Do you have a tracking number? I know FedEx almost always provides a tracking number. If not, contact FedEx and someone should be able to give it to you. Then track that package!! I use FedEx a lot through work and one of the features I love is that on the tracking screen online it says who signed for a package! If you can't get the tracking number, then you should probably send another copy of your transcripts with the spring registration confirmation.

I called my parents and got the tracking number. Says it was delivered this morning (when it was supposed to be delivered the next day 😡) and gave me a name for who signed. I emailed the lady and gave her the information so hopefully it just hasn't been dropped by her desk or whatever yet. Still have the send the spring registration so I may just stick the extra transcript in there anyway to be safe.

If it was late on Thursday evening, its entirely possible it went out on Friday morning. There's usually a cut-off time for when it will leave Thursday vs Friday. I think the last time I sent something out, the last evening pickup was around 6pm. They usually make a point of telling you that though.
And you would have had to pay extra for Saturday delivery if it was going on Friday, which could explain why its there today?
Either way, glad it made it there!

Also, don't forget about the big snowstorms that were going on around the country last week. My mom's boyfriend works for FedEx and there were a few days last week Fed Ex in different locations was closed due to bad weather. Because of that, when they opened they were back logged with tons of packages that needed to go out so things were slowed down more than normal.

My mom fedex'd a package overnight to my fiance last monday for his birthday on Thursday and it didn't arrive until Friday. Simply because of the weather related problems. It sucks but what can you do?! Mother Nature's a beast.

I'm a US applicant, so ours were supposed to be there by Jan 1. My school's registrar's office couldn't have them out until at least Jan 3 (which ended up being sometime after Jan 7, because I hadn't received the one I requested by mail until after I left) so I got permission to have them in late. Not sure if this at all applies to Canadian applicants, though 😕

Also, good point GellaBella. I'm just glad they've finally arrived; hopefully it doesn't take my spring registration information as long to arrive since I know AVC is having their applicant rankings meeting (or had it recently)!

I had a mini stroke when I saw the AVC deadlines -- my school wasn't going to send any transcripts until they came back from holiday break! They were hoping to send my fall transcripts by Jan. 7! I nearly died. I emailed Sharon at AVC who seemed understanding. Guess I'll find out when the rankings come down!

Nothing like added stress. Like we need it!

I'm sure your transcripts will get where they need to be at AVC by the end of the day!

It's Feb 28th for you, Newfoundland. My school lists enrolled courses on transcripts, so both went at the same time.
