I've on the verge of completing a pharmacy technician program. I've being attending this program since 2009 and taking one class at time. Due the fact that I work from 8 to 5 pm at the same college that has the pharmacy technician program that I'm currently attending. There are several program graduates say that they have yet to find a job, which is the other reason why I have yet to quit my job. The dean of this program since 2009 has known about the fact that I've being looking for job so that I could complete the home care. She is now blaming me for not have another job, in order to complete that home-care. The college department that I work for wanted me to quit due to that fact that I wanted to attend this pharmacy technician program. I'm one of the better workers in my department. The problem is now is completing the home care clinic. The dean of the program said there is no nights or weekends for home care ( other words not a home care that they want a contract with) and I have to do 8 to 5 Monday to Friday. During the previous semester, they verbally agreed to let my do home care on weekends and evening. I've worked at the community college for 9 yrs and have home benefits. So, I called the other pharmacy technician program and spoke to the dean and they are willing to work with me and used the clinical hours that I have already earned and give me credit. The only problem is I will have to do additional 2 or 3 classes at the cost of $800. In additional, I will have to wait until Spring 2012 in order to attending these classes in the evening after work. This other program has 10 classes and the program that I'm currently attending only has 6 classes. The department at the college tried to make me quit due to the fact that I want to attend this pharmacy technician program. But, they will not give me a raise or a promotion, but they always make a b line to my desk whenever there is some problem they want me to solve. The other problem is I have a lot of pre pharmacy classes on this transcript and if I do not complete this class I will receive a F on a 6 credit class. Should I just cut my losses and transfer to the other community college and in order to complete this program technician program or should I meet with the dean of this program in order to get the required letter in order to meet with the dean of this community college?

Please advice.

I'd do whatever it takes to NOT get an F with 6 credits. That'd torpedo the heck out of your GPA. That's not a superfluous ding on your transcript, that'd create a gaping hole.

Thank you for the advice. An administrator at the college suggested that I email the Dean of Student and explain my situation on Thursday night and by Friday evening the Dean of Students emailed me back and he wants to meet with me. I hope this meeting goes well.:xf:

Thanks for you your help.
