Procedure for Waitlist.

Does anybody know just how the waitlist system works?
Is the first person who recieves a WL statement the first person on that WL?... or do students get ordered-up on the list based on their credentials?

every school has their own way of dealing with the "waitlist." It has more to do with who the admissions officers are.
