Anyone know the ACTUAL mechanism of action of Procrit? [before you start, NOT the med student mechanism of action,- which progenitor is stimulated??
so, procrit binds and activates epo receptors. epo receptors are found on multiple rbc progenitor cells in marrow; i had to remind myself the names of said progenitors, which are bfu-e, cfu-e, and erythroblasts. i'm curious why you ask, i don't think this info is tough to look up...
