so, procrit binds and activates epo receptors. epo receptors are found on multiple rbc progenitor cells in marrow; i had to remind myself the names of said progenitors, which are bfu-e, cfu-e, and erythroblasts. i'm curious why you ask, i don't think this info is tough to look up...

Dont know if you are in this field or not but most books that I have mention "rbc progenitor" and there are at least 7 different progenitors. A Hem/Onc specialist stumped me and a resident with this q..

Appreciate that..With a little more digging I see the q was actually more detailed then your reply-- bfu-e has only 20% of epo receptors.. Most of the epo receptors are on cfu-e! {the info was not easily found on the internet..}
