Do dental schools like professional job experience even if it does not relate to dentistry? I have heard that they do and I have also heard that they don't care. Any thoughts?

At the end of the day it is all about your DAT and your GPA because the rest are so subjective.

+1. If you sell it right in your interviews the adcom should be thinking "why take chance on a 21 yo without any professional experience - when we have an engineer here with professional experience who has already made the transition from acadamia to real world." Make these connections for the adcom, dont make them work.

Smart schools like well-rounded individuals. They all get hundreds of typical Biology grads w/zero job experience, your job experience adds to u being well-rounded. I came from corporate america and all the schools I interviewed accepted me, some indicated that my background added a different twist to the typical. Good luck!
