Iam intersted in psychiatry/mental health

I joined the American Academy of Family Physicians as a student, and it was free.

I'm sure there's a society for psych that has student memberships.

ACOG has free student membership as well

hi,
thanks to everyone for their suggestions....the problem is that iam not a medical student in the US.....Iam an IMG,graduated in 2001..... and it seems that these associations allow only U.S med students or residents?

I heard that the "Society of ERAS Applicants Pointlessly Attempting To Pad Their CV" is accepting applications. It's $100 for a lifetime membership, cashier's check or wire transfer only, PM me for the address.

If you don't have it just leave it blank. Being an IMG you're not supposed to be a member of American associations - as you're not supposed to have a graduation record since most educational systems outside US are different.

We have GOT to be able to rename that so that it makes for some funky tongue-in-cheek acronym

So are you guys listing things that you didn't actually participate in or only the meaningful stuff?

For example, I'm a member of the ACP, but I pretty much just toss the mail I get from them.

Would you put that down? (seriously)
