I'm sooooo reluctant to buy a business suit but in one interview-related email they explicitly said "Professional attire is encouraged"... Do you think it means they'd really like to see everyone in business suits or does it just mean they don't want people to show up wearing jeans? 🙂

From what I've read on here, a suit is the norm. Makes sense. Better to overdress than underdress right? You can't go wrong in a suit. If everyone else is in just a tie, you'll stand out as the one who really steps it up. But on the other hand if you show up in just a tie and everyone else is in a suit, you'll look like the chum who didn't care enough.

At the very least, wear a nice sports coat.

Unfortunately, yes. You can rent or borrow one from a family member/friend?

Or you can always buy those shirts that have a suit printed on them =]
