I am an accepted Medical Student. Currently I have the opportunity to participate in and complete Healthcare Quality Improvement Projects. Would Any certifications like:

Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality
Certified Professional in Patient Safety
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

Be beneficial during residency applications?

The only downside that I can think of is cost of maintenance during medical school.
Thanks.

No, certifications by themselves are not beneficial during residency applications. (And if you have to pay for maintenance of certification, just forget about it.)

Actual QI/patient safety projects performed during medical school, especially if published, can be beneficial.
