I have worked in a dental lab (one where research is also related)....Do i list this under dental experience, research experience, AND work experience? or do i have to pick one avenue for it to represent?

By dental experience they mean shadowing a dentist.
So, I believe in your case, what you did falls under either research experience or work experience. If you got paid, perhaps it's more like work experience. If it was volunteer work, you can use it as research experience.
At least, this is how I'd do it.
