Hello, do people have specific suggestions to add to these sections? I don't have many extracurriculars.

  • Academic Enrichment Programs
  • Awards, Honors, and Scholarships (limit 5)
  • Dentistry Experience (limit 10)

Thanks in advance!

  • Academic Enrichment Programs (do you have any? usually these are like RAMpS and other minority programs)
  • Awards, Honors, and Scholarships (limit 5) (Scholarship... what did you win in undergrad can be merit/research/ec scholarship? Honor's i.e. Dean's list?)
  • Dentistry Experience (limit 10) (shadowing? volunteering? working? as a dental assistant? a dental technician?)

Hope that helped, good luck

^ thank you.

Does anyone know if they really look at those categories and if its really necessary to have a lot? (I've shadowed dentists, interned with a dentist, volunteer at a hospital, got scholarships)

I'm not sure if my experiences are enough..

If your experiences are all you have, then they are all you have. If I were you I would just put down everything I could think of that I have done. If you still feel insecure after looking at the completed section, just find another place to volunteer and shadow and tell the interviewer about it when you get there. Kind of like a little "update".

I never received any Awards in college so that section will be blank for me, will that kind of hurt my application ?

Same here! Can lack of awards be made up by having tons and tons of extracurriculars/leadership positions and interesting life experiences?
