Hey Guys, Any advice on which professional memberships a 4th year med student wanting to go into path should join? Like is the uscap pretty much the main organization to join? Any others anyone reccomends? Thanks in advance...

ascp has free membership for students and residents. i do not think that there are medical student membership categories for uscap or cap, but i may be wrong.
also state orgs and city orgs
to netwrok etc.sometimes these organizations offer research contests etc
CAP USCAP ASCP if you like specialties
APIII--informatics --very cool field
AABB-- transfusion medicine - expensive i wouldnt join unless interested
molecular path i think also has an org

Most subspecialties in path also have their own organizations complete with memberships. Many are free for residents and med students, although some are not. It is pretty easy to find the requisite organization with a google search.
