Professor forgot to put in grade so now i have an F, will it affect my acceptance?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Why aren't you contacting your prof about this? Get it changed. If she thinks it's too late to change, then go to the dept head and registrars office. Don't delay.

Which semester is this from? When are you applying to med schools?

Basically professor forgot to put in a grade, and I was completely fine w/ it cause it was my PI and she was busy and under alot of stress. I check my transcript today, and I see a 3.865 and was found out it got changed from incomplete to an F. Really lazy to change my grade for the class and it's also a bitch to go through entire school administration (basically just a research credit class)... currently have a 3.865 with it and cbf to ask the professor to change it. Do conditional acceptances require overall GPA or just no F's at all? (would be 4.0 without it but idgaf at this point tbh; dont even plan to walk in the spring)

Thanks in advance
So you've been accepted already?

under alot of stress

And now you're under a lot of stress. She's your PI, you have a relationship with her, so go to her office during office hours and get her to correct her mistake.

Whether it affects you or not, you should get the grade changed immediately. I mean, is there truly a good enough reason to why you wouldn't fix an undeserved F?

I can't imagine anyone applying to med school with an undeserved F on the record. Med schools have way too many applicants and they're looking for reasons to exclude. It's not far-fetched to think that an F on a transcript would be enough to be put in the reject pile.

And, frankly, if you were asked about it during an interview, I don't think they'll be too impressed hearing that you didn't pursue the rightful correction.
