So I emailed my former professor, from whom I got a LOR about 5 years ago, and I asked, is the LOR good, hhould I use it again? He said yes and wrote me a very nice email. So I've decided to use it. There's just one problem.
Will such an old LOR be a liability? Can it be used against me? If I have an LOR on file, I would prefer not to bother him again about it, and have him send one with an updated date.
Is it necessary to do so?
