Hi,

I am a PGY-1, and I want to transfer to a different location for family reasons. Most programs would need LORs for considering my application. My question is, can I ask my letter writers who uploaded waived LORs for me last yr to send me a copy? I was under the impression that I could since the season is over, but one of the letter writers said that I should talk to ERAS.

Thanks.

Are you staying in the same specialty and looking for an R2 spot? If so, the only LORs anyone will want will be from your current residency.

You can certainly ask your previous letter writers to update the date and submit the same letter with new dates.

Why not just have the letters reuploaded to ERAS and submitted through there again? Anything you submit yourself is basically tainted goods.
