Okay, after a few more years of trudging along in my career, I am now ready to pursue dentistry...at 30yrs old! Are there any programs, certificates, post-bac master's etc. that would make it somewhat easier to get the necessary pre-requisites. I'm finding it extremely difficult to gain access into all of the basic sciences as a non-matriculated student and I know that most schools prefer classes not to be taken at comm. college. Any help would be much appreciated. I'm located in Seattle but willing to move for the right program.

I applied to wazzu and got in as a "second degree seeking student" and am now taking courses out here in Pullman. In my opinion just get into a school around the area, UW will be especially tough, and Western wasn't too friendly toward second degree students (even if you are alumni...grr!). You don't need to get into a special program, just take the required courses and do well.

I actually moved to WSU Vancouver to take my first set of pre reqs last year and it was a pretty decent experience, but limited course offering. They only offer Ochem lab in the summer (extra expensive). Good luck
