Programs similar to National Health Corps?

What are some programs that are similar to the National Health Corps? I am looking to be a part of U.S based programs that focus on helping disadvantaged communities.

How about the Epidemic Intelligence Service? Disadvantaged communities isn't the focus, but I think it comes into play more and more as the "epidemics" the program addresses on are more chronic issues than infectious disease.

I am definitely interested in the EIS, but I am not currently qualified as you need at least a doctorate level degree. I will graduate with my Masters in Public Health in May.
