I apologize in advance for this amazingly lazy thread, but I'm feeling a little overwhelmed right now trying to figure out what programs to look at and think about applying to. If anybody has any programs that you think are especially super that I wouldn't find out about through more obvious channels, could you share 'em?

I lived in Oregon before going to medical school, so OHSU is definitely on the list. I'm also interested in programs in cities with lots of outdoor activities, so west coast/SW/mountain programs are there, too. I'm definitely still interested in programs in other spots with access to things like hiking nearby. I most likely won't pursue a fellowship or an academic career, but I don't really want to close those doors either.

Bagel, check your PMs.

I'm at UC Denver, in my 2nd week and having a blast.

Other good programs with outdoor fun opportunities are Utah, Brown, U Washington off the top of my head. I only interviewed at the latter two so that's all I can give perspective on. Anyway, we'll chat more when you get a chance.

I don't know how you feel about Arkansas, but I was impressed by their program and they certainly have plenty of woods.

Of course, Tulsa has plenty of bike trails and extremely attractive interns...

Dartmouth comes to mind-- Hanover is pretty much in the middle of nowhere and offers a lot of outdoor activities.
