Could any of you direct me to a website that tells me what programs across the country have the prelim medicine year INCLUDED in their Neurology program? I know many require you find the IM year one on your own, bu I'vw heard some have an "entire package."

The only website that I know if that has all of this info in an easily understood format is the neurology program list at www.sfmatch.org . Unfortunately, you don't have access to the page in question until after you have registered for the match, which you can't do for a while yet.

many have the 1st year basically guaranteed though it's not officially 100% included. From this last year I can tell you that Colorado, Utah, Mayo-Jacksonville basically do this. UC-Irvine said they can get you a spot without an interview if you have a decent record (say a B in IM, near average board scores, and maybe are a US MD grad). Southern Cal, Southwestern have no guarantee and can't help you much unless you get an interview on your own. Kansas seemed very likely to get you a IM spot though you might have to do it in Topeka instead of the closer Leavenworth program. South Florida will have guaranteed spots starting next year from what they told me (IM is starting a large prelim program at the currently unaffiiliated University Community Hospital). A list like this could be useful for the FAQ. SFMatch will tell you some that are integrated but it's only a small share of programs. Others you can call to find out.

OHSU also includes the IM year, and I'm fairly certain that it's guaranteed.

1. Albany Medical Center
2. SUNY Buffalo
3. Temple University
4. Tulane University
5. University of Connecticut
6. Thomas Jefferson University (3 integrated spots; 3 non-integrated spots)
7. I think Dartmouth might have been but don't remember for sure

Others where they pretty much guaranteed a Medicine spot if matched to Neuro:
1. University of Massachusetts
2. SUNY Upstate (Syracuse)
3. Long Island Jewish Medical Center

Definitely check the SFMatch website once you are able to register and can access the official list. Hope this helps!

some are officially integrated and some guarantee their prelim year--I'm including both in my list-
Cornell, Emory, Wash U, UK, Cincy, UVA, UMDNJ
