Project Horseshoe fellowship

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Is it a binding acceptance? If not, it never hurts to have options. You might be interested in the community health corps though, you should check that out.

I'm skeptical about this program since it only started 2 years ago and is in Greensboro (I go to school 30 min from Greensboro). It probably will give you a very limited/nonrepresentative view of healthcare challenges in America. It certainly is uncommon for applicants so it could help you stand out I suppose but with it being so new I'm just not sure how it would be perceived by adcoms at all (that means they may love it or hate it for all I know).

Personally, I'd pursue the research assistant positions and try to get involved in some clinical/public health stuff on the side.
