What are folks seeing with 99417 so far?

I've had one insurance flat out reject them. Another tentatively say they are going to pay but wanted to be faxed the clinical note, still waiting for that result. Had another company cover them no problem. Got a letter from one company that looks like they won't cover 99417 but will accept G2212, which I've yet to look up.

I do 90 minute consult/intakes, so I will be using them often.

From what I’ve seen on Facebook groups so far, poor success rate/little info. Seems like more of a pain in the ass than it’s worth too, since insurance is so reluctant to pay it in the first place I have the feeling they ain’t gonna pay much.

Could just always do a 60min intake with mandatory 30min followup in a few days to split the visit?

We routinely use the prolonged service codes for our TRD consults, and from what I’ve been told we were generally not reimbursed by most insurers for either the old or new codes.
