after 2 weeks where ketone body starts to be the major fuel for brain.
there is still some gluconeogenesis happening. I know muscle protein is the major source for gluconoegenesis but does this apply same for 2 weeks of starvation?
or will glycerol, from fat, be the major source for gluconeogenesis in 2 weeks of starvation.

please help

In starved state, muscle protein is still the major source for gluconeogenesis. But brain decreases its use of glucose and utilize ketone body, and muscle decreases its uses of ketone body. As a result, rate of gluconeogenesis is lowered, and protein is spared as long as possible.
