I scheduled my test for Monday but now in all likelihood it's not going to be possible to travel to my test center let alone appear for the test. I called Prometric on Friday and was told that they will call me if they decide to reschedule the test but so far no word from them.
Is anyone in the same boat?
What do I do if they don't call today ?
Should I reschedule it myself by the end of the day and ask for a refund later? since I don't want to let my test date "expire" and have me reinstated later.
Which one is the best option?
Thanks

I'm taking step 3 tomorrow and heard nothing so far. I'll walk to penn station if I have to!

I'm in NYC taking prometric above penn station so my only obstacles are prometric power outage and transportation to the test.

University of Pennsylvania hardly ever closes and it's the last to close. So, if it is closing then it is assumed that the transportation will be suspended too (SEPTA is known to suspend it's services whenever a dog/cat sneezes).
What I am saying is that don't get your hopes up.🙂 but hope for the best.

In the same boat.

Prometrics webpage has (on the home page) a link with a listing of closed test centers. It includes all the ones in NY on Mon and Tues.

And all the early November dates are full, so cannot reschedule for then. What happens now? I don't want to take this thing in December...or even mid-November...
Thanks. Mine is closed. No E Mail from Prometric yet.
Here is the Link to the list
From time to time some test centers will close due to inclement weather or other unforeseeable circumstances. When test taker or employee safety is at risk, we will proactively close test centers and contact the affected candidates to help them reschedule their exams.

The following list displays test centers that are currently or will be non-operational and cannot deliver exams. If your test center is listed below, please check your email. You will be contacted via email within 24 hours of the test center closure. If you have not been contacted within 24 hours, please email Prometric directly.

Received an automated call from Prometric 3 minutes before I was supposed to start my test. So nice of them and very efficient :wow::clap::eyebrow:+pissed+
Now waiting to receive the email with the new date.

Even though its safe to assume they are all closed, heads up, penn station is in NY, not in Philly! 😛

That's better than the email I got 2-3 hours AFTER mine was supposed to start, and they never listed my site among those that were closed but it ended up being closed anyway. 😡

I have been to two Penn stations (NY & Baltimore)😉 although @ Philadelphia is now known as 30th street station but locals still call it Penn Station for two reasons-
1. I was originally called Penn Station and
2. It is near University of Pennsylvania (called U Penn) and therefore univ. people call it Penn station.

and the baltimore one would be effected by the hurricane because... some people just can't admit when they are wrong!

This gets better and better.
Instead of scheduling a test date as indicated in the first email they decided to reset the eligibility.
Now, their website is slammed so that I can't even check the availability. 😡
Well done Prometric.

Dear Candidate,

This is an urgent message concerning your upcoming test with Prometric. Due to inclement weather in the immediate area, and for the safety of candidates and test center employees, the testing center will be closed on your exam date.

You will receive an automated message in addition to this email. Prometric will schedule your exam to the next available date. An email confirmation will be sent with the new exam details.

This communication is being sent to advise you that Prometric has reset your eligibility, making it possible for you to log in to Prometric’s website to reschedule your appointment.
