We have used it some at one of our surgery centers. I haven't seen much difference than with regular propofol. It does not have any antimicrobials and contamination may be more of a problem. We don't draw it up until we are ready to use it. I don't let the big bottles sit around long after they are opened and I throw away unused syringes. Other than the above it has worked fine.

It's a different formulation of propofol from the EU that got rapid approval due to the propofol shortage. It has 10mg/ml of propofol just like Diprivan but the fatty acids chain lengths are different and propoven doesn't have the same antimicrobial additive.
It's supposedly equivalent in use to Diprivan and it seemed to be to me until a couple of days ago when I was starting a MAC and titrated in about 300mg over 5-10 minutes in a 65kg patient who remained too light. Maybe it is equivalent to Diprivan, but after that experience, I'm suspicious.
