Pros and Cons of Team Based Learning

TBL at my school involved the faculty posting the previous year's lecture online for our review the night before, and the next day presenting more/new content with 5-10 minute pause for questions at the end.

It essentially turned 1 hour of lecture content into 2 hours.

I'll give OP the benefit of the doubt and take a stab at it. I think TBL has potential when it's done the right way. At my school at least, the issue is that this is only the 2nd year we've done TBLs and a lot of faculty still don't know to run them correctly. The best TBLs that we've had are ones that require group discussion and input from all group members, otherwise what's the point? Sadly we've only had one really good TBL and the rest have been meh. There are many times when I wonder if the material could have been presented more clearly and concisely through lecture.

Pros: I pitched the idea of starting a chain of testosterone replacement clinics across US and cashing in with IPO to my classmates
Cons: My idea got shot down and no money was received
