What are the manners involved in requesting letters of recommendation from former professors? Suppose one applies to, say, 5 post-bacc programs. Does one ask one's professors to write the same letter and put it in 5 self-addressed envelopes that the student has supplied? Where does one cross the line from being diligent in applying to enough schools to just pestering former profs by asking them to do too much "busy work" in preparing one's letters of rec?
Btw, this question presupposes that one lacks access to a letter forwarding service (perhaps because one's university did not offer pre med advising and has no such service).
Thanks for any help or personal stories on how you all requested letters of rec sent to multiple schools.
