Question for y'all-- my parents have decided that I should pay for my medical school education, which is fine, but I'd still like to be eligible for grants and scholarships. This means that, at most institutions, I have to provide my parent's financial information.

My question is: if I provide my parent's information, can I still put all of my remaining balance (after grants and scholarships, heaven willing) on a loan in MY name to be paid by just ME after leaving med school?

does uhscom require parents info to be on your fafsa??

i think my efc will be around 14000 based on some online calculators. Will that seriously affect my loan and other aid??

also, my credit score is a pitiful 660 or so. i have nothing bad on my report, just that it is only about 1.5 yrs old! i didnt know anything about credit stuff, so i didnt get a loan or credit card until about 1.5 yrs ago... eek... will that kill my chances for private loans??

most importantly, with a credit score like mine, will uhscom require me to get a co-signer???

i thought getting accepted was tough, but the financial part seems much worse now.......

any help????

thanks guys!!!!
