Provigil (Modafinil)

There are always threads for insomniacs. But what about those of us that cannot wake up. We go through our days half-awake.

Has anyone tried Provigil (Modafinil)? or any Ritalin based drug (Concerta)? My doc has suggested I try on one these, but am very reluctant. The word "stimulant" has a negative connotation in my mind. Just don't know what to do. 😕
