I'll be starting my job search in a few months and I want to get a Peds job that would qualify for PSLF (Public Service Loan Forgiveness) so my loans are forgiven within 7 years (residency gives me 3 years). I know it has to be a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization....what are some examples of those places I can work?
I would like to hear if anyone has successfully done this, specifically with Peds. I did do a forum search and read some threads on PSLF (over in the Financial Aid forum), but they were not Peds specific so that is not helpful to me. I am open to both outpatient and hospitalist Peds jobs. I'm open to working in an underserved area. Just want to hear what kinds of Peds jobs should I be looking for. Can I go work in private practice (say hospital-owned group, partnership track) or will I be ineligible then?
Thanks!
