Moved this from the movie thread...

Not a movie but a TV show....

I'm really interested to see how they handle House's time in a psych hospital (as a patient), following his psychotic break last season. I'm certainly not expecting perfect accuracy--it is network TV--and House--after all--but the show has done some promotional charity tie-ins with NAMI and the lead actor has some personal experiences with psych disorders (Hugh Laurie's openly discussed a history of MDD and his long-time friend and acting partner, Stephen Fry, has bipolar d/o), so I think they may have some additional incentive to "get things right," so to speak.

Here's a promo link if anyone's interested:

(Also, from a purely entertainment perspective, can I say this episode looks all sorts of awesome?)

Also, any thoughts on In Treatment?

Looks pretty good. An interesting change of pace from previous seasons. I just hope they don't make psych look barbaric and give him ECT against his will and all that stuff. Maybe they could do a crossover with the guy from 'Mental'.

Unlikely, because Mental's done (justifiably, IMO) horribly in the ratings and will be cancelled at the end of summer.

I can't see them giving House ECT against his will, as he actually wanted ECT during the finale--the show annoyed me mightly by suggesting repeatedly that ECT was actual a standard, supported treatment for non-MDD-related psychosis.
