I submitted my application to Practicing Telepsychology Under PSYPACT. It was approved and I just had to designate a "home state." This all seemed like a breeze, provides opportunities to provide continuation of care for current clients, and offer opportunities to practice fully remote. Personally, I prefer a mix of going into my office and practicing remote, but this does open up room for flexibility.
Besides having to physically being in your home state when providing teletherapy. Being aware of your states rules/laws/ethical code and the same for your client's home state. Is there a reason folks would be against interjurisdictional practice? Does this impact insurance at all - if I was in PA but saw someone in AZ, could I bill their PPO plan if I am paneled with their insurance in my state? I just feel like I'm missing something and wanted to see what others are thinking about the PSYPACT.
