Does anyone know if we need to do the academic update on PTCAS if we have been accepted to a school and have already confirmed attendance?

It probably depends on the school and whether or not you had outstanding prerequisites to complete. Some schools might use PTCAS to update and confirm transcripts, while other schools might want you to send an updated transcript directly to the school.

Yeah the academic update should be done asap. But on a side note, what if you have nothing to update, do you have to do anything at all?

I'm almost positive you have to no matter what. You have to confirm the classes that you just completed and the grades you earned, and you also have to confirm what classes you are taking for next semester. A lot of schools don't send out interview invites until they receive the academic update.

So I have to do the academic update on PTCAS still even if I was accepted for early decision? My PT school just wants me to send my final transcript to them in the summer.

In this case, I doubt you need to do the academic update on PTCAS. You might want to check with your school just to be sure.
