PTCAS acedemic update problem

I received an email notification back on 12/21/12 that my transcripts were sent to PTCAS, and I have yet to be notified that PTCAS has received any documents. Is this happening to anyone else, or should I be concerned?

I called them to confirm that they had my transcripts even though I had delivery confirmation. So I would give them a call.

PTCAS is incredibly frustrating and slow... I would send another transcript right away. I called and confirmed with my registrar that they sent my transcript on 12/19 even after receiving a confirmation email that they had been sent out, just to be sure. Somehow PTCAS "didn't receive it" even though all my other transcripts made it just find to other recipients. I called my registrar yesterday and she sent another out for free.

I sent my transcript around the same time. I did not get an email notification of receipt of the transcript from PTCAS but when I checked the transcript portion of my application it said that they had received the transcript on 1/04/13. Have you checked your application again?

I literally just got the email notification 10 minutes ago that they received it, so I can stop sweating. Now I probably have to wait another 3 weeks for my gpa to change haha. Thanks for your help everyone

I registered for the spring semester last month, but I plan to change two of my courses when course registration reopens on January 16. The courses are for my minor and have nothing to do with PT prerequisites. Should I wait until then to do the academic update, or just do it now (considering I will also have to send my updated transcript)? I know that the AU closes on February 15th, but I'm not sure exactly how long it will take to complete.

all schools care about with the academic update is fall grades. as long as you have that I would send now and just type in the courses you are going to register. as long as they aren't pre reqs it doesn't matter. if you had any remaining pre reqs they would look for those in upcoming courses but you don't have any so no big deal.

Does the verification of observation hours have anything to do with the AU? I've sent the last request and am just waiting for the PT to verify. Verification can be done at any time, is that correct?

they have nothing to do with each other. i believe verification can be done at any time, you just can't add new observation hours after you e-submit. if you are still waiting on one pt and they are taking awhile, call. One of my pt's thought he had completed it but I had put his full name while he only put his abbreviated name, so they didn't match and the verification didn't go through.

I think it takes ptcas about 2-4 weeks to re-calculate everything and it depends where you mail your transcript from. Mailed mine from AZ on 12/21 and it arrived at ptcas offices on 1/3

My school was so slow with my fall grade. All of you guys were able to have your transcripts sent before Christmas. I had to wait until after new years (even though I filed to have it sent 12/18) because my fall grade did not come in until Jan 2.

I never got an email either, I never got one the very first time I sent one either. I'm calling tomorrow just to be completely sure, but I'm positive if it says received then they got them.

I didn't get an email confirmation from PTCAS either, but it does have a date received listed in the application.

i just got an email today verifying the update. you guys will probably get one when everything is done on their end, not just when they receive your transcripts

And what do you know? This morning I awoke to an email saying my transcripts were verified and GPA updated. 🙂

Why hasn't PTCAS received my Academic Update transcript yet? I filed it on 12/18? Granted my fall grade did not come in until 1/2/13 but still, that was over 2 weeks ago. I live in New Jersey, could that be the reason?

my transcripts were sent from my school on 12/21, received by PTCAS on 1/9, yet it took until today for my grades to be updated. The whole process takes forever.

PTCAS just received my Academic Update transcript on 01/17/2013. Thank God. I was getting worried that the school did not send it.
