Hey guys. I have a couple noobish questions. Would be great if you can help. Thanks in advance.

1. When sending out my GPA during this years cycle, do i get an opportunity to send in my grades for Fall 2012 when I already sent in my application? Do I need to privately send it individually through email? When finishing Fall, I can improve - Prereqs: 3.67 to 3.79 / overall 2.81 to 2.93.

2. Does it make a difference if I send my application late Aug rather than the schools deadline like October between December? Is it better to send it earlier? Are my chances that much better? Do they tell me earlier if I been rejected or granted an interview? How long is the wait between the time when the application was sent to finding out if you been rejected or interviewed?

1. PTCAS has an open period starting in December (not sure of exact date) when you can input what they call an "Academic Update" for all of your Fall 2012 grades. Check PTCAS website/instructions for details.

2. Some schools start looking at applications as soon as they arrive (this is called "rolling admissions"), and others wait until the deadline. If a school has rolling admissions, it's definitely better to submit earlier to increase your chance. Check with the schools where you want to apply to find out. Also, each school is different in terms of the timing in letting you know your status. Some let you know in the fall and others wait till winter or spring. Again, you can ask your individual schools when to expect to hear back from them.
