Good evening!
I'm bringing up a bunch of questions and if you have any thoughts on any of them I'd love to hear from you.
Bottom line up front, I'm a career changer. I am separating from the Air Force after 5 years of service and I received my Undergraduate degree in Political Science in 2014. My boss has been great and accepted me into a program where I get to intern at a Ortho clinic so hours aren't an issue. After emailing tons of schools, they told me that they accept applicants who haven't completed all of their prereqs as long as they can be done by Spring quarter prior to matriculation.
Have any of you applied/been accepted into programs before you completed all of your prerequisites? I plan to apply this July in the 2020 cycle. I started taking classes last year and I'll be completing my Physics and Chemistry prerequsites starting next fall (I need 3 quarters in both). How did that work out for you? Was it a conditional acceptance? Was wait list as high as you can go?
Also, if there are any other career changers willing to discuss their journey, or prior military, I'd love to link up and pick your brain! Please leave a message below.
----------------------
STATS:
cGPA (Undergrad): 3.56
pGPA: 4.0 (I've only taken 3x BIO, PSYCH, STATs)
Hours: 300+ Ortho, 80+ Inpatient, 20+ Pediatrics, 20+ Military
Extra curriculars: Active Duty Air Force Officer (Captain), 2014-2019.
GRE: Taking this Summer, shooting for 150/150/4.0 minimum.
---------------------
Thanks guys! Good luck out there.
