Hi all,

I had a few questions about how I should include a certification prep class I took a few years back in my 'Coursework' and 'Institutions Attended' begin/end dates on my PTCAS application.

I've taken 2 class at George Mason University over the years (one regular class and one certification prep class):

- In 2010 I took Organic Chemistry (which I included in the coursework section)

- In 2013 I took a 'Business Analyst Certificate Preparation Course'. I didn't get a certificate or a grade from this class but they did give me credit for it. It was just basically a month long prep course in case you want to take the 'Business Analyst Certificate Exam' from what I remember.

So, I've got 2 questions about this prep class:

1) Do I include this prep class in the Coursework section of PTCAS? (I assume this is a 'No')

2) Do I include this prep class in the calculation of my begin/end dates I attended George Mason under 'Institutions Attended'?

The problem I'm having is that I talked to one of the people at PTCAS and they said 'No' to question #1 (which seemed reasonable) but then they kept going back and forth on question #2. At first he said yes I should include the prep class in calculating my begin/end dates at GMU and then later in the conversation said no to it. So, does anyone know how I handle this prep class? Do I just basically ignore this prep class like it never happened as far as PTCAS is concerned (in other words 'No' to both questions above)? ... or should I at a minimum included in the begin/end dates I attended GMU and just leave it at that?

What does your GMU transcript look like? Does it include the prep course?

My GMU transcript does include the prep class but it's not listed under the 'Degree/Non-Degree' section where the Organic Chemistry class is listed. Instead the prep class is listed under a separate 'Continuing Education' section and it says I got 5.3 continuing education credits for taking it.
