You do have to register to take the PTCB exam, but there are no pre-requisites required. The registration is so they can take your money, keep track of you, and verify your identity on test day (perhaps among other things). I think it will ask what your training is (or where you went to school) and if you haven't taken any official courses, there is an "other" box you can select (or something along those lines).

So its not required that u complete a pharmacy technician program prior to testing? anyone can take the exam? how much does it cost......thanks for your help, im know im being noobish here but im just trying to get the basics from someone who knows first hand😎

I will take PTCB test this March. I have not taken the pharmacy technician program. I think it still is fine. It cost about 140 dollars.

Actually I think it costs $129 to take the test. Hey, every dollar counts right? It's too late to register to take the test from Feb. 4 - Mar. 9 but u can register in mid february for the tests during late april to late may... here's a link to show the schedules:
