Do public health professors qualify as potential "science letters of recommendation"?

I don't take many sciences (just the pre-med reqs), so I'm trying to see what my options are.

If the professor is affiliated with a science department, yes, I would consider it a science LOR. However, you'd probably be better served to get a letter from a more "sciency" professor if that makes sense (e.g., chemistry, biology, etc.).

Ehhhh. If they are part of biostats or epidemiology then perhaps.

The idea is that you've taken a year of Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics and Biology (plus Calculus in some cases). Even in the smallest college that's at least 3 professors. You need 2 letters from science faculty who have taught you. What's so complicated?
