Hello, I've been exploring the option of pursuing a Master's in Public Health and was wondering if there were any public health jobs in the military. The only branch that I could easily find some information for was the Air Force (http://www.airforce.com/careers/detail/public-health-officer/#)

Does anyone have any more knowledge regarding Public Health and if the military will fund a MPH student similar to HPSP and MD students?

Thanks

don't know a whole heck of a lot, but in the Navy does use MPH's in the Medical Service Corps doing prevmed and I don't even know what else stuff. No idea if they'll fund it--sorry, but not very helpful other then confirming it exists.

Thanks for the help, I'll try to contact a medical recruitment officer @ some point and see what they have to say.

Well I live chatted an Air Force recruiter and this was the response I got...

"Air Force Allied Health HPSP (Public Health, Pharmacy, Optometry, Clin Psych, or Physician Assistant) scholarships are for two-, or one-year periods, that pays full tuition and all required fees. This includes reimbursement for textbooks, small equipment items and supplies needed for study. You'll also receive a monthly allowance of approximately $2,060 for living expenses. You must be a U.S. citizen enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited school. Your payback is a minimum commitment of three years and begins after you complete school."
