I posted here b/c I thought some non-trads might have had similar thoughts...or maybe i'm a nut....

I've been working in the pharma industry on the business side for a few years and I've produced reports on different therapeutic areas with respect to their market potential and the underlying science behind specific therapies (in additon to other market factors incl patient demographics, etc etc). These reports were then circulated throughout the company and to our investors on a global scale. So my question is - is there any way this qualifies as a publication? I figure this is a stretch but for those of us coming from a non-lab environment, where can we list these types of accomplishments? Are we relegated to a bullet point on the resume or a line in the essay?

just a guy trying to get some due....

thanks

As long as this thread is here, I would like to ask a corollary question. What about scientific publications in fields that have nothing to do with medicine...say, particle astrophysics? Would these count for anything on a med school application?

from the research i've done since i posted, it seems that as long as its in a peer reviewed journal its a publication. I can't see it hurting you.......
