I recently completed a research project in a specialty I'm no longer interested in. The good thing is that it looks like I'll have three abstracts that will be submitted to conferences next year with the potential for three oral presentations.
I know that: publications >> oral presentations>> abstracts. My question is: should I be content to have these papers presented at conferences, or should I put the extra work in and collect enough data for a journal article?
Granted, I'm no longer interested in the specialty and would be happy to wrap this up. But, I am wondering whether it is worth it to make the extra push for some publications.
