PUCO Interview Invites

Hey all! Long time lurker here, but application anxiety has gotten me to finally get around to posting. I was just wondering if anyone who's applied to PUCO could weigh in on approximately how long it takes between them receiving all of your documents to receiving an interview invite? Stats appreciated, for a point of reference! 🙂 (and yes, I've seen the class of 2020 thread... and 2019, and 2018, etc.)

They received all of my documents just about two weeks ago now, and I'm starting to get really antsy...
My stats are:
3.25 GPA, from Canada
380AA/400TS (I know it's a great score, but I remember the Pacific rep saying they're wary of students with a big difference between GPA and OAT scores :$)
30 hours shadowing (just PUCO's bare minimum! argh)
Worked a ton during school (not many other extracurriculars though >.<)
4 LORs (I know they only require 2, but other schools I applied to needed the other ones. My worry is that for the professor, since PUCO specifically wanted a prof who's given me a grade in a class before - I ended up having to ask a prof who I've barely ever interacted with - never went to their office hours or anything. They were more than happy to do it, but I still worry it was a weak letter/that that might sway them against me).

Any input appreciated!

My GPA is a bit lower than yours, 380TS/370AA and I received an invite. I also had 4 letters of rec as well and one of my professors who I had known for over a year randomly backed out and I also had to get a professor who I didn't know too well to write me a letter. I think you're fine, just give yourself some more time. It's only been a couple weeks. Good luck!

Hi! I clicked submit on my supplemental application on 10/4 and received a phone call from Andrea on 10/15 to let me know I qualified for an interview. I had everything verified on optomCAS in september though. Hope this helps!

AA 300
TS 300
GPA 3.7 (bio major, chem minor)
30 hrs of shadowing
3 strong letters of rec (only sent in the two requested)

Thanks!! I'm going to need it! I've been reading up on the forums and I've been getting mixed reviews! Any insight or tips for the interview? It'd be a great help!

Nothing in particular - they're all super nice and you'll feel right at home. I guess relative to to other interviews, it's a little more structured (i.e. a set list of questions) than just a pure conversation, but for the most part it's nothing to worry about. I get the sense that they just want to see that you can a. form a logical, coherent opinion about something and b. communicate that clearly. But on the whole, really, don't sweat it - they're super understanding that it's interview day, that everyone's going to be nervous, etc. They're the only school I've interviewed at who asked me if I had questions, but then said that it's okay if I don't because they know I've been barraged by "do you have any questions" all day! Glad to help! Just remember (and they'll remind you of this) - you're there because they already like you on paper. Just be relaxed, be personable, and be yourself and you're most of the way there 🙂
