Pupil Function, Stereopsis

1. Immediately following the birth of an infant, are their pupils always dilated with eye drops to examine any abnormalities/normal functioning, ie. constriction to bright lights? I have once heard that an Ophthalmologist Retina Fellow has said that he has never had his pupils dilated.

2. Also, I am preparing to enter the eye care profession and have, on examination ~200 seconds of arc (Stereopsis). I am able to see the 3D Fly picture. My visual acuity is ~20/25 (Right Eye) and ~20/150 (Left Eye).
Will this level of depth perception affect my career as an eyecare professional: Ophthalmic Technician/Optometry/Ophthalmology?
