hey guys! as some of you alrady know, Ive been accepted into MCPHS-Worcester...but I have upcoming interviews at Purdue and Wingate... and now I have a bit of a dilemma:

If I get into Purdue and Wingate (which I have a good feeling will happen), I will have a major decision upon me. From what I have heard (and that's not from too many sources), Purdue is a very reputable school and from looking at USNews rankings it is ranked 4th best pharmacy program, so there must be something good about it. I have heard some positive things about Wingate, but mostly to do with the nice campus. As far as MCPHS Worcester goes, I havn't heard much positive about it, in fact I have heard some negative things about it....all that aside, I am gonna give each school a fair shot, but I need some help first...I am asking all of you now, if you guys were in my shoes, and got into MCPHS, Wingate and Purdue, which school of the three would you choose and why? Are there any good sources on the web that give good comparasins between the pros and cons of pharmacy programs? Does it really matter where you went to pharmacy school in terms of future job opportunities?

Any help/advice would be extremely appreciated at this point!! THANKS! 🙂

MCPHS Worcester, Purdue, or Wingate....Which of these three schools will produce the best pharmacist when it's all said and done? Which of these three will look best on your resume when applying for a job after obtaining a Pharm D.? Does it even matter where you graduated from at that point? Which of the three programs offers the best opportunity and atmosphere to learn and grow as a professional? Which of the three has the best professors?...I am in great need of people's opinions and thoughts on these schools, preferrebly from people who go to or went to these schools. I am on the horizon of choosing between these three, and I need some first-hand advice from some of you guys. Your help is greatly appreciated 🙂

I'm going to merge this with the Worcester vs Purdue vs Wingate thread you began in pre-pharmacy. Advising questions belong in that forum, and many current pharmacy students are active in both forums. 🙂

It's up to you to see what kind of pharmacist you will be, regardless of where you go to school... 🙂

Don't jump the gun! Wait until after your Purdue and Wingate interviews are over before you really start considering schools. You might go to one of these places and have a terrible experience, or the opposite, you might fall in love😍 (let's hope for the ladder!) Ha, anyway... you get what I'm trying to say. I don't think you can make a truly good decision until you have visited and interviewed at all three schools.

Good luck, and be sure to let us know how the rest of your interviews go!🙂

well FutureRxgal, it looks like you're full of it because nobody has responded to my question at all..hence the reason I posted it in the pharmacy section of the forums...this is an important decision upon me and I do not appreciate that I am being ignored potential advice from current pharmacy students just because you think that pharm students actually check the pre-pharm section, because as you can see from my lack of responses so far, you were wrong

No need to insult the mods 👎

First of all, all of your questions are highly subjective and none of them have a correct answer. Instead of asking other people to think for you, why don't you spend some time researching all of these schools and decide for youself which one has the best program, atmosphere, opportunities, professors, etc. All three are good schools and will prepare you for your future. It's great that you are asking for other people's opinions; I would probably post a similar thread if I were in your shoes. However, you are an adult now and yelling at FutureRxGal because people aren't responding to you is just a tad bit uncalled for and extremely immature.

correct me if Im wrong, but isn't the entire purpose of these forums to share our concerns and hope for some possible advice? It is common sense that the best advice is gonna come from people who are currently IN the programs I asked about, hence ther reason I posted my question in the "pharmacy" section...but, future rxgal made a bold move and moved my thread to the "pre-pharm" section, with the explanation that "a lot of pharm students do indeed check the pre-pharm." I am simply pointing out that I am upset at being denied the simple right to good advice just because futurerxgal thinks she knows what's best for me....as for your ignorant comments, who are you to tell me that I haven't done appropriate research? Im not gonna get into it, but I have done as much research as you can possibly do...but, doing research on a school is one thing, having a current student tell you what its REALLY like is a whole nother ballgame...you can't even compare the two, so Id appreciate it if you kept your thoughtless comments to yourself.
