Does anyone know if, in Oregon, client contact hours completed -during- grad school while earning your masters (while on internship) count towards the required 2,400 hours for LMHC licensure? I'm looking at the state website and it does not specify. It does say hours in intern/volunteer positions can count, but not whether they will count if they were done before completing your masters degree.

For example, in NY, it says unpaid internship/volunteer work can count towards your licensure hours, but they need to be done AFTER completing your masters. It specifically states that any hours clocked pre-masters DO NOT count towards the 3,000 hour experience requirement. All of them need to come after the degree is earned.

  1. Any info? Thanks for the help.
